D&D 5E What are your thoughts on the DnD Next playtest sorcerer compared to the final 5e sorcerer?

If you're defining psionics as "mind magic" - then the enchantment school already exists, so you're all set.

I never understood the 'psionics is just a different type of magic' as a good reasoning for it not being a class.

Divine magic and nature magic are just other types of magic, and we have classes for those. Then we have wizard and discount wizard with metamagic as their own classes.
