A month ago I ran a poll on people's LEAST favorite character classes. The monk had the dishonor of winning the poll with 29.7% of the vote. In second place was the artificer with 27% and third was the sorcerer with 23.6%.

So now I'd like to look at people's favorite classes. This also was a question on the recent WotC poll and like that poll, I am letting people choose up to three favorite classes.

I will state my bias up front -- the cleric and wizard are my favorite classes. I am obsessed with casters and those two classes allow for a very wide range of caster PCs. I also think they have tended to be among the stronger classes from an optimization standpoint.

Barbarian, Paladin, Sorcerer.

I would pick Warlock, but there are a few issues with the class that bug me considerably.

I haven't looked to see if Level up fixes that..I'll have to check tomorrow. :D

It is too balance now, isn't it? I miss the psionic mystic because the main classes (fighter, cleric, rogue and wizards) are like everybody wearing the same fashion clothing. I said the artificier because always the wizard is boring. I like my PCs to be different and exotic. I like the paladins because they have got a honor code and their divine spells help to remember their spiritual roots. I like monks because I loved Kung-Fu serie where the little grasshope showed some pearls of wisdow. The monks really want to grow as person, not only to be stronger.

Barbarian. rogue and bard. These are conceptually and themchanically to my liking. I've said that ideally I would prefer bards to be more fighty and less magicy, but the current iteration is still perfectly fine.

Conceptually I really like monk, druid and ranger, but many of their 5e mechanics are handled in way that I don't appreciate.
