What Class are you? Fun tool from WOTC promoting PHB II

Lame. The questions aren't vague enough, theya re too close to the rules and the book. It is no different than selecting a class out of a PHB. It'd be useful if it didn't have "What powers would you choose" questions, since then I could direct new players there to pick a class that fits their character mood.

I got warlock, which is funny since I hate that class :)

I find it interesting how people can say the questions aren't vague enough in one breath, then say they got an unexpected result in the next ;) Of course, that's not to say they are vague - they're about as opaque as a window, haha.

I think it's a fun little thing to fill 5 minutes of your day - no more and no less than it was intended to be. And a nice preview sampling of the PHB2 classes - if I'm not mistaken, this is the first time most people have seen the new class fluff writeups.

A newb would choose his powers based on how cool they sound - which is okay, in my book.

I could see a Bard getting behind that. A Bard who always trains out a power every level, even to something he previously had, changing up the "composition" of the campaign so to speak.

Man, newbs have the best ideas.

No surprise there. I love big warrior types. I play a paladin in 4e, but he'll be multiclassing to fighter.

I answerd the questions as Mario (from Super Mario Bros) and got Rogue. Not THAT surprising, given that I interpreted his "go into the castle and kill the Koopa King" as striker-oriented "take out the big guy" powers.

Sonic the Hedgehog wound up as the same thing. ;)
