What classes in wizard of oz?

What party makeup do you suppose it was in D&D terms for Dorothy, the TinMan, Scarecrow, Lion, Wizard, Witch(es), flying monkeys, etc?

Dorothy's the tough one. Is she a wizard with no known spells?

She would be a commoner- she works on a family farm. The wizard is an expert, tinman is a warrior and the rest I haven't the least idea.

In the book, on the other hand, the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion are all badasses. The Tin Man definitely has Cleave, the Scarecrow has some sort of improved grappling (he snatches fifty giant crows out of the air and strangles them) and the Lion is - a big freaking lion.

Dorothy, Tin Man, Scarecrow, and Lion: all Commoners.

Wicked Witch: probably a Wizard or Sorcerer.

Flying Monkies: critters with racial hit dice. No class levels.

Wizard of Oz: Expert.

I would actually use the classes (and everything else) from Northern Crown instead of straight D&D for Oz.
