What comics are you collecting/reading?

Thanks, Mog Elffoe. Neither sounds very interesting to me, so I doubt I'd order them. Not that I would have ordered a new Rob Liefeld series, either... :)

Well, I'm in a bit of an unusual situation. There are no shops where I live, so I have to rely on a good friend who lives in NYC to pick up my comics for me. He only goes every 3 or 4 months, so I usually get entire story arcs in one package. This also means that, if I want to add a new series, I can't just read one issue and decide if I want to keep collecting. At the prices comics are today, that may mean spending $9 or $10 for a series I may hate.

This, coupled with the fact that I don't live near any shop and can't see what new titles are out (I only learned that Hawkman even had a series last month), means I only get a few series that I know I like.

Previews is for you. I not sure how much the site I linked to will help, I haven't looked at it to closely myself, but you caould ask your friend to pick up a copy of the catalog for you. It basically lists everything that will be coming out in three months with descripions of what the book is about, should help you keep up on things you may be interested in. It alos includes other things as well (comic related merchandise, games [rpg and other types], movies, some novels, magazines), just about everything a geek could want.

Okay, bearing in mind my previous post, what's Supreme Power? The only "Supreme" comic I know about is the one Rob Liefeld did.

And, is the Hulk gray again?

Mog, answered these well, but I do have something to add. With Loeb and Sale's Character: Color mini-series the color reference isn't just to a color the character wears but to and felling or emotional state they went through and the creators are trying to evoke.

Thanks. I'll take a look at the site. Getting the catalogue itself wouldn't work out too well with my current, "get comics every 3 or 4 months" situation. The books will be out by then.

I don't know where my mind was, for some reason I was thinking 2-3, which would still work out.

Have you tried the comic store locator? Go here and enter your zip code, you may get lucky, though considering your middle of no where status probably not.

Exiles...

Crap, I forgot Exiles. Consider it to be added to my above list.

I really liked With an Iron Fist, the storyline that posits Iron Man as president og a corrupt "one-world government" and the Weapon X Team aiding him against the Inhumans.

My daughter and I went to a comic book show, and I found lots of very reasonble priced Silver Age D.C. comics to fill collection holes. I got:

Justice League #45, 75, 97, 99, 107, 109, 122, 137 & 141 (1966-1977);
Teen Titans #12, 37, 40, 41 & 43 (1967-1973);
Wonder Woman #138, 203 & 219) (1963 - 1973);
World's Finest #220 (1973).

I also found for either 50-cents or $1 several current issues of Extreme X-Men, Avengers, Electra, Daredevil, Ultimate Marvel Team-up, Wolverine, as well as some Buffy and Angel issues for my wife, filled two holes in my Thunderbolts collection, found an old Captain America (#182 from 1974), and at Piratecat's recommendation picked up Volume #4 of The Adventures of Barry Ween, Boy Genius.

Since several of you have expressed being fans of Kurt Busiek's writing, I thought it would be worth noting that he's the one writing the new Conan series I mentioned above.

Oh, yeah! I bought about a half dozen of the $0.25 Conan comic that just came out to share with pals.

I'm definitely looking forward to the new Conan series.
