What CR should this creature be?

how are you figureing the DC for the spell like abilities, they seem low.

I'd go with CR around 13, but its not like I playtested the thing or anything. I'd make the LA higher though

ah! i missed the 1/2 HD for the SLA DC, good catch.

i was estimating the CR should be around 10-14, but then the problem comes in that it casts spells as a 20th level caster. it's got some nice ability scores, SR, and a built-in magic weapon.

the CR could be 17, or even higher, if you are thinking spellcasting level = CR +1. but i don't quite think it rates an epic or near-epic challenge.

I just realized that the planetar (CR 16) has a lower CR than its cleric spellcasting level (17th). The tybor pales in comparison to the planetar, so CR 15 might be more on target.

well there, you have precedent established. i'll go even further and say that the power difference between a planetar and tybor is significant enough that CR 15 is still too high. i'd say CR 13 like crothian suggested, or CR 14 at the highest.

What I find funny - and I mean no offense, BOZ! :) - is the bit that says "One of the more unusual features of the tybor is the fact that when they run at top speed, they seem to float above the ground without actually touching it."

I would say that the most unusual features of the tybor are its abilities to read minds, vanish from sight, spit lightning bolts, paralyze everything in sight, destroy magical effects, multiply its image, shroud huge areas in illusion, repel people, throw them into extradimensional mazes, turn them into toads, conjure a virtually impenetrable wall of shimmering power, and emit beams of colored light that burn, shock, dissolve, poison (lethally), petrify, send to another plane or freakin' drive people insane!

And the unusual thing would be the ability to fly slightly better than a chicken? :p :D
