What D&D scenario would make the best D&D movie?

Drama: Not sure, maybe the Assassin's Knot - going for something lower level with mystery, intrigue, and tons of character development.

Cult of the Reptile God would work well.

Tombo of horrors would make an interesting side plot.

[Scene] The group is walking down the road and passes a group of people in a line in front of one of three cave mouths. There are body bags laying out front.

[Side scene closer] Coordinators out front await a "boom" or "click" or "scream" and then tell the next person to step up. "NEXT!"

White Plume Mountain.

It has great visuals. A Room with lava and geysers that the group has to to hop on wooden platforms that swing from chains anchored high in the celiing.

A room surrounded by boiling water with a giant crab in it.

The frictionless room with the razor pits

The rooms with the water flowing through them through the air that they have to boat down.

It is not too long, the rooms are different and would translate well on the big screen.
