What day and time do you play RPGs ?

I only *regularly* play on weekday evenings, but since I'm a university student, I have unlimited free time to play whenever I can get a group together.

Wednesday nights from 7-11:30pm. The first half hour is usually spent catching up with each other, so we get in about 4 hours of solid gaming time.

Do you think short game sessions are bad for the game ? As compared to long afternoon sessions. Long combats become more difficult to finish and so forth...

Noticed many play 4 hour session at night.
