This isn't even a close contest. Batman Begins was a great movie. I wasn't emotionally engaged by Ep3 for one single moment. The trailers shown before Ep3 were more emotionally engaging...

Don't worry, Kai. You aren't the only person here who voted for Revenge of the Sith. Batman Begins was very cool, but like yourself, I rank Revenge of the Sith as one of the top moviegoing expiriences of my life.
Yep, and since seeing ROTS (twice now) I'm still reading through the Art of Revenge of the Sith and Making Revenge of the Sith books. There's still an excitement about that film that has just grabbed hold and is very reminiscent of the joy I had after watching Star Wars as a kid. To not only do justice to scenes I had been waiting 28 years to see (who says movies can't live up to expectations!), but to also smoothly transition to Episode IV is just amazing!

Ever since I learned that Leia wasn't originally written to be Luke's sister I've been quite disenchanted with such a "convenient" dismissal of the love triangle between Luke, Leia, and Han. Now I love that they're twins! I also used to think it was pretty lazy to have the prequel trilogy "echo" the original trilogy, now I love the sheer poetry of it. Like how the burning and screaming Anakin both parallels and dramatically contrasts with a freezing Luke on Hoth, reaching out with one hand and screaming for Obi-Wan....awesome! And that's just it, ROTS wasn't just spectacular in its own right, it makes the best parts of the original trilogy (and even some of its shortcomings like the twins) even better.

Some interesting factoids I learned from reading the "Making Of ROTS" book:

1. Steven Spielberg directed the animatics for the Obi-Wan/Grievous duel, and was the one who suggested to Lucas that there be a "lava river" for Obi-Wan and Anakin to be dueling on.

2. I originally thought Count Dooku was a pretty dorky name but have since learned that "dooku" is Japanese for "poison." Now I think that's pretty cool.

3. Mustafar, Kashyyyk, and that eight-wheeled Clone ATV were all designed off of 25+ year old Ralph McQuarrie/Joe Johnston conceptual illustrations. Great to see those artistic giants once again contributing to Star Wars! I even remember drooling over that clone transport years ago in that little blue "Empire Strikes Back" sketchbook when it was a discarded AT-AT concept. Now it really is an official precursor to the AT-AT in a literal story sense. Too cool.

IMO, the Prequels have the worst names ever:

- Ep. 1: Captain Panaka - In Portuguese, that's Captain Jerk.

- Ep. 1: Queen Amidala - In Portuguese, Queen Tonsils.

- Ep. 2: Captain Typho - The disease.

- Ep. 2: Count Dooku - Count "From the Arse". Got changed to Count Dookan.

- Ep. 2: Jedi Master Sypho-Dias - Jedi Master "Used to be f***ed up". Got changed to Zypho-Vias.

And of course, "Boba" is the female word for "silly".

Can't think of any from Ep. 3 now.

When Darth Vader turned to Palpatine and asked "What about Padmé?", it totally marred vader for me, since it bridged the prequels to the OT in an undeniable way, and "Padmé" sounded completely out of place in James Earl Jones' voice... :(
