What did you like better: Batman Begins or Star Wars Ep 3?

For me: "Batman Begins" without a doubt was way better than "SW: EpIII". Better written, better directed. Not to say that Batman was a flawless movie, it wasn't ... if I had to nit pick, there's plenty flaws to find. However, Episode III had way more flaws and things wrong with it. I enjoyed watching Batman more.

Batman was better, but only barely, as enjoyed both quite a bit and gave both 9's in polls here.

Except he didn't ask what was better, he asked what we liked more and while Batman may be better, I liked Ep3 more.

When Darth Vader turned to Palpatine and asked "What about Padmé?", it totally marred vader for me, since it bridged the prequels to the OT in an undeniable way, and "Padmé" sounded completely out of place in James Earl Jones' voice... :(

Wow. Thanks Claudio. Man, Lucas has some odd taste in naming.

By the way, James Earl Jones isn't in the credits. We're pretty sure it's not his voice at all; it's just modulated digitally.

*chuckles* No there wasn't any "digital modulation," it was Jones. His return to the voice of Vader for the end of Episode III was been publicized in many mediums for years.

My vote went to RotS. Batman was a great movie, but for me this year has been all about RotS, and continues to be. I waited years for this movie sat through two mediocore prequels, and was thrilled with the payoff. Was it the best movie? Probably not, and by all means it was not a perfect movie, but it was the movie I wanted see in 2005.

I really liked Batman Begins but I loved Revenge of the Sith.

I'm just happy that there have been a bunch of high quality genre flicks so far this year and it's just about halfway over with more to come. :)

And only one that matters.

I rather suspect you'll drool once you get to see Serenity.

No doubt. Serenity is the cherry on top for 2005 films (and just may be the ice cream as well from what I hear). I'm glad it was delayed to September as to not get lost in the current mix of genre films. And it sounds like the test-screenings are giving it a good buzz.

I was lucky enough to see it last week, not lucky enough for a cast member to be there, but then it's a small miracle they even showed it around here.

While I really liked it, I'd still take RotS over it, you just can't beat lightsabers.
