no, that only covers the TSR books upto 1998.

i have many, many, many more from before then for other companies. and beyond then for TSR/WotC/Hasbro and other companies.

Out of curiosity, have you ever encountered anyone who has a larger collection than yourself?

yes.

i'd consider mine to be in the middle ranges.

i don't catalog. i don't quote passages from page X of printing 19YY. i don't have autographs all over them.

most of mine are well loved and well used.

I wonder who has the largest individual collection.

I remember back in '93 visiting a rather well-known gaming store in the ChicagoLand suburbs. I had been visiting a friend and we both went to check out the store because of its reputation for being both huge and having an extensive selection.

I was looking for a certain gaming magazine which had just stopped print publishing and gone to self publishing before dying out all together. I thought maybe I could get the self published copies there.

Unfortunately they didn't have the issues. It was sort of stange, as one of the other people in the store was HIGHLY interested in whether or not I ever found them.

One of the friendly staff pulled me aside later and let me know the copies I was looking for were already valuable. It seems the other cusotomer/patron had an rpg collection and those magazines were on his list of just under 200 items he still needed. The point was pressed home when the clerk explained he owned EVERY RPG PRODUCT EVER PRINTED minus those 200. Everything that could even be considered a roleplaying game. Relevant computers games, card games (which were new), board games, etc.

Of course, that was '93 but I like to think he's still going.
