What Do Gamers Eat?

What Foods Do You Eat While Gaming

Our new campaign, started with just chips, dip, fruit, and soda. Then the next week, a crockpot with meatballs and rolls arrived, in addition to the above. The bar was raised.
The week after that, I threw together some vegetarian chili, the crockpot was scrapped clean.
Last week, big tray of baked ziti.
This week, my vegetarian brother is up, we'll see what he brings, although he has promised to bring something unhealthy:)
I'm thinking I'll step up for the session afterward with some pulled pork...just got an orion cooker(Orion Outdoors) and the thing ROCKS.

At the game yesterday, I bought a big pan of homemade brownies with chocolate and peanut butter chips and a big airpot of coffee. Last week I made a homemade cheesecake... So I usually bring something sweet when I'm not hosting.

wide range of things from take out at Welcome To RAINBOW PIZZA
the greatest pizza place on the planet. How I missed it when i lived in NY where despite the rumors there pizza is quite lacking. Or we make things like mac and cheese, tri tip, fried chicken, or burgers and hot dogs. I'm not a fan of most fruits and veggies unless they come with a dip.

Oh and basic mac and cheese recipe
1 stick butter, 6 T flour, Put in dutch oven or large pot, melt and stir until it starts to brown a bit, add 4 cups whole milk and heat until thickened a bit and about to boil. Add 4-6 cups of a combination of your favorite cheeses and melt, add 1 pound al dente cooked macaroni and stir in. Put in a 9 by 13 pan cover with breadcrumbs and some melted butter cook at 350 for 30 minutes.(I will sometimes pour on top of this either about 1 cup of cream or 1 cup of shredded cheese that seems to work as a topper)

One of my favorite cheese combos, is 2 cups sharp cheddar, 2 cups irish cheddar, 2 cups strong blue cheese.

when i make brownies I modifyy this recipe Dark Chocolate Brownies

I use more chocolate and a little less sugar.

Technically I double the recipe, use 1 cup of sugar and 12oz of chocolate.(I use the suggested Scharffen Berger unsweetened chocolate (99% cacao), I usually pick up a bunch after doing a factory tour.(smart tip if anyone goes, sit in the back row. they hand out plates of chocolate and they still have quite a bit by the time it gets to the back row, so you get much more than one piece.) I put it in a 9 by 13 pan and cook as instructed, if on the short time side. I like gooey, not quite cooked in the middle. brownies

I try to stay away from anything that leaves a residue on my hands so as to keep nasty fingerprints off my books and papers. However, if wings are bought to the game all caution is thrown to the wind. ;)

Obviously you haven't taken the "Two-handed Eating Feat"*, for optimized use of your "off-hand" for snack consumption. The "Ambidextrous Snack Eating Feat" would also help.

* (also known as the THE Feat, the TWF Feat is a prerequisite)

:eek::p;)

We'll pop a large kettle of popcorn, the heart healthy kind. Thats our snack food.

Everybody will chip in about $5-$8 and we'll order in for dinner or head over to the supermarket.

I'm surprised so few people have mentioned chocolate. It's definitely a staple at games, for me at least. Just about every session there will be potato or corn chips of some sort, with or without salsa. Pretzels also make irregular appearances (although I haven't bought any for a while).

One of the players is pretty partial to chocolate biscuits (Tim Tams to be precise) that he brings to share each session.

Some of the players eat dinner before/during the game so they normally eat whatever they have picked up along the way. Burgers, pasta or various asian dishes are pretty common. Subway or pizza less common.
