What do I need to get them?[DM assist]

Ok, here is the question:

My 5 member 6th level party have offended the local crimelord.
(actually they killed his daughter, in a place where he cant recover the body or spirit for ressurection).

What kind of assasins would he send? I think he would want the satisfaction of killing them himself, or make them recover the body.

Help, Im kinda stumped on this one.

hmmm Subdual substitution feat for high damage spells. Subdual fireball works very nicely. Followed by a real fireball.

Once their HP is equal or greater than their subdual damage, They go unconscious.

Great for bringing them back to the "Boss".

Another is poison, sleep or paralytic is always nice. Coat enough arrows and enough archers, everyone of the 5 people would be downed.

A more subtle approach. Drug their drink while they eat dinner. Waitress works for the crimelord.

When they are asleep the waitress shows the "goons" which rooms they are.

Hmmm.

I don't have my books with me, but perhaps a 6-Rogue/1-Assasin?

That's plausible. Low enough so the party won't be killed outright, but high enough so that the Crime Boss can reasonably say "Send someone to dispense with them" and the guy's name would be brought up.

For killing his daughter?

Offer land and money for their heads...a Barony for them alive, either of which comes with a full pardon for the person turning them in.

As a King, weild the most powerful weapon you have. The ability to turn the money lust of every cuthroat, villain, highwayman, knight, squire, commoner and minor noble against them.

This is the rightful monarch of a country, you don't lightly kill his direct line.

I think its just a crime lord and not the ruler of the country. What type of villain is he Maldur, or have you detailed him yet? What kind of feelings did he have for his daughter - was it a close relationship?

If he's like the Kingpin or a similar boss, he is just going to bring all of his resources to bear on the extermination or capture of the PC's, preferably capture.

If he's a more physical boss he's going to go after them himself, although possibly with plenty of goons at his side. If you'vre read any of E. Cunningham's Waterdeep novels, think about what Elaith Craulnober would do if you killed his daughter.

He did not have a close relationship to his daughter, but IT IS his daughter.

He is a very nasty hands on type, but If I use him as writen, they would die fast (he is a mayor thiefling fighter/blackguard lvl 14-15)

He is scheming enough to use the revenge , as a test for his minions. And he is filthy rich!

The party has some high level contacts in town, and a task they need completing! (ever heard of the banewarrens:D).

His son (a high level mage luckily is a coward and didn't like his sister, but the family name might be at stake so if his father orders him to do something he will)

I think they are stuck between a rock and a hard place.

If the boss guy is the kind to capture them and then maybe tortue them, I'd recommend using a few mages with the subdual substitution. I used a level 14 (I think) mage with subdual vesus 5 level 5 PC's, and thanks to quicken spell, a 2 subdual fire balls and subdual lightning bolts, the party was subdude in 2 rounds. Granted I wanted the PC's to get knocked out to be placed in a catacomb system and have next to no chance to not fall unconsious.

Yeah, this strikes me as being stuck in a bad spot. Considering the type of villain, it is probably more an insult to his pride than damaging to his feelings, so I would have him carry one running his empire while placing a high price on the PC's heads and letting his minions take care of them.

Great for keeping the game moving. Anytime it starts to get bogged down you can have another group of would-be bounty hunters pop up and start attacking. :D

Where in the world did I get King from? bah...

Crimelord...offer them their life for her body. If they retrieve the body, or sufficient remnants of it to get a resurrection...they can live.

Of course, they'll need to pony up the cost of the resurrection too.
