What do Medusababies eat?

There's no need for eating human flesh. The consistency of human flesh, its texture, fat marbling, etc. are probably easily replicated by regular meat. You could easily take care of a child medusa if you wished, though of course they would work best growing up in some sort of place where, you know, no stone-making can occur... A blind teacher and cloistered youth perhaps?

This is why we can't have anything gneiss.

You know this poor guy is just trying to make a quarry, but I guess I could chalk it up to you being a slag. I say we clean the slate, or I shale have to take it up with the moderators.

I was also thinking of where the gaze really comes from. Perhaps I just never use medusae but if the origin of the gaze from the eyes? Also didn't Savage Species include a Medusa monster class for use in conversion?

pg. 184. Petrifying Gaze shows up at level 6, poison begins at level 1 (and gets more potent as she progresses)...

"The troubling side of playing a medusa character is that unless the medusa's face is concealed (in which case the medusa suffers from all of the consequences of blindness) its allies risk becoming realistic sculptures."

Unless you are a lithophile..

Alright!

Thanks for the citation Aeo, missing you guys over at the ol' Psionics/Otherworlders/whathaveyou.

Depending on the world you are on and how common medusas are there, you don't need to make it a rock-it science and have it eat what everyone eat.

You don't need to take the stone-to-flesh for granite, either. In one of the campaigns I played in the medusa used it as an at-will power, unless she was upset but then we just undid the oops quietly.
