What do you buy if you can't buy magic?

Hire some stand-ins! When a fight goes bad, the stand in takes your place and does the dying for you, you get to keep the rewards!

Henchmen / bodyguards / a small mercenary band to accompany you and carry stuff around seems the most logical option in a campaign that is centered on the action and not on 'downtime'.

Also, buy plenty of the more expensive stuff (if that IS allowed by your DM), like the thunderstones, tanglefoot bags, holy water, alchemist fire etc. etc. If the entire party (and possible hirelings) are equipped with plenty stuff like this, and it is used profusely during encounters, this can burn up money pretty quickly too...

Spares... have doubles of the good stuff: multiple masterwork weapons and maybe even armor (depending upon the carrying capacity), hire mules/horses and handlers to carry additional stuff around...
