Thinking a while back for this; it's been quite a few years since our usual group of chummers sat down for a game rather than just hanging out (not that it wasn't enjoyable or anything). Occasionally we'd order in a couple of Pizza Hut Meat Lover's, and there'd always a be fresh case of Coke in the fridge (or we'd go out on a 'munchies run' for some pop, but it was rare that we bought snack foods on one of them), but I think if I'm going to name out mainstay, it was often a big pot of spaghetti with the sauce concocted by our resident chiropteran chef. Damn, that stuff was good. There were at least a couple of occasions when our host would make up a huge dish of baked macaroni & cheese with ground beef, which was thoroughly awesome. As for 'in-flight' game time edibles, there would usually be a couple of bags of chips available but I think it was rare that food of any sort- with the possible exception of a can or glass of soda- came anywhere near the gaming table (such as it was).
Judging by my last couple of visits to a local comic & game store in the west end of town here in the early 2000's, it's becoming more common for said sit-down game stores to sell crisps, chocolates and sodas right there in the store. Is this something chummers elsewhere have noted?
Cheers!
