What do you have on you at the moment?

I have a Dell™ Inspiron™ 9300 notebook computer and the various attachments. So all I'd need is a wizard to both power it and give me extraplanar access to the internet back here, and I've have everything I needed to take over that world.

Glasses, jeans, belt, underwear, socks, t-shirt, sweatshirt, light-weight jacket (it's cold in my place so I dress in layers), a snack bar in one pocket (hey! where did that come from), and nothing else because I like to be comfortable while I type. If I can grab stuff in range, I can get a 2-liter bottle of diet soda, my laptop, a lap desk, a pile of unopened mail, a light-weight blanket, and three remotes (TV, VCR, DVD). I might argue that since I'm typing right now, the laptop is "on me".

I work from home.

As such... Well, I'm not going to list everything I have on me most of the time I'm at the computer. Let's just say that, were I suddenly transported to a fantasy realm, I'd be not only under-equipped, but chilly. ;)

One pair Khaki Pants
One pair boxer shorts
One spoon
One bowl vanilla ice cream (with butterscotch topping)

If I made a Dex check I might be able to grab either the rock or crescent wrench that are both next to me.
Needless to say, I'd be under equiped.

Last night I had a few useful things on me in addition to the mundane (clothes, shoes etc). I had a small Swiss army knife, a mini torch (flashlight), some British pound (£1) coins (could fool NPCs into thinking they're gold), three wooden bastard swords (equivalent to clubs?), a wooden dagger (equivalent to a stake?), soft leather gauntlets and saddle leather vambraces.

Right now, however, I don't have the weapons or armour.

Great thread BTW. :)

I have clothing (socks, undies, trousers, shirt, jumper), shoes, wrist watch, mobile phone, wallet with credit cards and id, half-finished Tesco 'Fresh Melon and Grape Selection' and little plastic fork. And my wits.

I'm screwed.

EDIT: Oh, and I forgot my glasses and a belt. On the bright side, I'm not wearing my (daily disposable) contacts. On the down side, I no longer have melon selection/little fork (because I have finished it.

glass.

Right now
-Steel toed engineer style boots (tall ones at that)
-wool socks
-wool sweater, over a T-shirt
-Jeans, over boxers
-Cheap leather belt with pyramid studs
-Mini-maglite
-fairly large folding knife, a lighter, and a pipe tamper
- leather wallet (full of business cards, no cash) attatched to belt by small choke-chain style dog collar
- glasses
-bandana on my head
-several small beads in my dreadlocks (some of which I may not be able to recover)
-scrunchie on my wrist,
-a couple of rubber bands keeping the braids in my beard
-cheap gumball machine provided pinkie ring
-set of keys on one of those climbing buckle style keychains
Catch me wearing my motorcycle jacket (which I wear most of the time)
-jacket itself could be prett decent armor, since I've got a fair amount of metal riveted and sewn to it (including a leather shoulder guard from my larping days)
-a padlock
-another one of those climbing buckle thingies
-a pocketwatch, with a dead battery
-my cell phone
-my "work pipe"
-half a pouch of 'Captain Black' pipe tobacco
-more business cards
-three slighty (a couple years) old condoms
- another lighter
- a three foot length of light chain (removable in about a minute, would make a decent weapon)
- two copper rings approximatly 1" in diameter (by which the chain is strapped to the jacket)
- One 2" index ring, with a skull-shaped keychain hanging from it
- five or so buttons with assorted slogans on them
- my labret stud
- a cotter pin (3" long, by 1/8" dia)
- A kilt pin,
- a couple of small (watch fob size) chains,
- another keyring
- A leather bracelet with pyramid studs
- three 1/2" spikes (the dull kind, attached via screws)
- two 10-32x1/2" bolts (with nuts)
- one of those little flowers that the disabled veterans sell for a buck.
- probably a few other oddball things in the pockets/hanging off part of the jacket I can't currently see.

yeah, I carry alot of junk.

Edit:Oh yeah, Great thread!

Right now I'd be pretty screwed with no shoes and the only items which I could actually use being my wristwatch, some keys and a guitar pick.

If I even had about five seconds, I could be wearing my shoes and just about clutching a flashlight and my laptop, which would put me in a pretty decent shape since the laptop could be very impressive in a fantasy world (for about 4 hours till the battery runs out).

I'd have no weapons, but hey, if I was in a D&D setting I'd surely have magic powers to survive and I can also play the guitar, so If I could find one in a village I'd be making money as a bard-like adventurer in no-time!

EDIT: great thread indeed, gets me thinking about how those people would respond if I'd play some of the modern tunes I know on the guitar.

Yeah, we CERTAINLY don't have any gold $1 coins down here with a certain native american woman and her papoose-bound baby on them......

Y'know those don't actually have any gold in 'em? Such a gip
I got a bunch of them from the bank to spend at the Blackbeard Festival here a while back. It was cool

I've got a (newly-sharpened) locking knife, a watch, pretty tough cargo pants, a t-shirt, my glasses, a thick leather belt, tennis shoes that have seen better days, and some keys. And my wallet, of course.
With 2 minutes or so, I could have some more (bigger, fixed) knives and an axe or hatchet, a couple of sturdy jackets, my comfortable steel-toed boots, and my dad's briefcase of pistols and ammo.

If I was smart, I could have some food, too.
