Nothing. That's right, not even the free set of clothing.

Hehe, I don't typically wear clothing at the computer. I'm just glad this hasn't happened to me... just my luck, I'd end up in the middle of a royal ball somewhere, standing on stage, butt-naked...

And that's not a pretty sight.

Normally I'm wearing an overcoat and am carrying my cell phone, a keychain with a swiss army knife and a number of other useful gadgets, a switchblade, a knife capable of cutting through soft metals, and the all-important pair of glasses I would be sad not to have if I were sucked through that portal.

Oh, to add to the above, I once played in such a game. Somehow, I got the suspicion as the DM was starting that what I was carrying at the time would be important. So, I made the excuse that it was cold in the basement and went upstairs to grab my hoodie. Which, conveniently enough, was warm enough to keep me warm in temperatures below 0°F (being entirely serious; my current job requires me to do this for 20-30 minutes each day). Of course, while up there I stashed my ever-present switchblade into one of my pockets. I was the only PC to start with a weapon XD

For those who have read my small and rarely updated Story Hour, I've spoilered some text below.

Evendur Greycastle from Pledge of Tyranny is a remake of this concept; ie he is me in the Forgotten Realms. But the start of game is a few months after my translation onto Toril, and I've picked up appropriate gear for a 3rd-level character.

I would be content in what I have on me right now. Though not as much as I usually do! cause I'm NORMALLY wearing Cargo pants. Right now I am wearing Jeans with big pockets and some nifty side pockets full of pencils, pens, a pocket knife (macgyver bistnitches) my wallet with 50 US dollars, 1 mexicanian Paso and 2 Quarters US....Various Reciepts and plastics. It has A zipper on it that might be useful for something later. I'm wearing a black thermal shirt with dark blue T-Shirt over that and a Carhart Jacket with hood, and lots of bad ass pockets. Inside those pockets I have Razor Knife, car keys, cellphone, Nintendo DS (so I have 10 hours of entertainment then its forever useless unless I can get back home.....lol) a Cure Light Wounds potion....wait nevermind lol. Um oh hey look I have my 2nd edition 2/3 fighter/theif character folded up into my pocket.....can I use his stats?? I have an awsome FORK within grabbing distance of me........come here ORC! i'ma fork you t'Death! Arrrrrr !

If I'm allowed to grab my bag next to me, I'd at least have a swiss army knife, some pens, some useless paper (class notes and a few law cases), and the Eberron Campaign Setting. Though with my luck, I'd be sent to Dark Sun and the ECS would just be a pretty book.

Yeah, that was one thing my DM ruled when he ran a campaign like this.

2 lighters (1 dead, 1 about 1/2 full)
The only useful thing I've got is my solar powered watch, so as long as it doesn't get damaged I should be able to tell time
Oh... and 1/2 a cup of coffee or a wireless mouse.

Polo, t-shirt, leather belt, jeans, boxers, 2 NEW pairs of tube socks (comfort), shoes, ring, a big d20, wallet, keys, cell phone, footlong subway sub, a couple bucks, and a 6' long albino bermese python. Thats right, I have a familiar (or at least a couple meals if things are going poorly)!

I think that a d20 inside a tube sock could be used as a makeshift weapon if needed. maybe 1d6 subdual damage?

Oh, and being an engineer Im sure I could bluff my way into the kings court. "I give you ELECTRICITY!"
