What do you wish was in D&D that isn't?

Hmmm. I think:

1) A newb class.
2) better rules for making your own monsters
3) Trapmaking rules
4) More interesting critical hits (might just use the critical hit deck for this!)
5) Spellthieves!

More difference between the classes.

Better mechanical support for non-combat related matters (I'm not thathappy with the Skill Challenge mechanic)

I'm going to avoid the obvious "Just stuff missing from the books", and deal with things lacking from/not well executed in D&D for a while. A [

Building, from small to large scale. A Contact/Favor system. A way to work Kami/Spirits/whathaveyou into the system. A cleric more customizable to the God they worship. Social/Mental combat. Facilitating solo play real well.

A science fiction option, and I'm not talkin d20 modern stuff I'm talking a D&D Spaceships & Aliens Core Rulebook Set. With very heavy borrowing, very heavy.
