Makes the numbers from the Gulf War seem rather trivial.

Thise numbers tend to get revised downward.

Most casualties were final two years of the war iirc.

USA deathtoll in the civil war/ww2 was 1-4 weeks depending on the particular week.

If you weren't in Poland, USSR or China your country skipped the worst of it.

To me it’s a warehouse or sewer system with discarded barrels or tanks of discarded refuse - like a toxic waste dump - filled with oozes, rats and other nasty creatures

Anyway that got me looking at train golems and eventually coming across "the Scrapyards of Sodor", and the faceless Scrap Trains - the dark shadows of world of Thomas the Tank Engine. Beware the undead Shed and the Mad Controller, who takes away your pain but keeps the engines running ...
