What fantasy series will the author finish first?

I'm surprised it lasted this long. Eleven books is a LONG time with the same characters. More power to Terry...if he finishes it.

Actually, from what I've heard, Terry Goodkind has stated that Chainfire (the newest Sword of Truth novel) will be the first book in a trilogy that will end the series. So it looks like there are two more Sword of Truth novels by Terry Goodkind on the way (meaning that the entire series will be 11 novels).

The poll's closed so anything I say at this point likely won't matter, but I'd say Jordan is more likely to finish first. As others have pointed out Martin promised his next book something like 5 years ago, and it still isn't out. Regardless of how Jordan compares to Martin, he is writing more quickly, and the point of this thread is speed not quality.
