I DM a Dragonstar/Star Wars mix campaign and it is going great! The way I've set it up is that the Sith and Jedi were founded by dragons and that they fought a war that nearly destroyed the galaxy... in the end they made a truce to allow the Jedi to rule for 5,000 years under a republic and then the Sith would rule for 5,000 years... the campaign starting after the first 50 years of rule by the "Red Order" of the Sith... ;-)
Mix in a prophecy about "balancing" the force... and volla! A great mixture of settings that make both that much better ;-)
