What games or game systems do you miss playing?

I miss DC Heroes. The combat system sometimes took 40 forevers to resolve, but as a player, I never had so much fun as I did when I played that game. Was in a campaign that lasted from 1988 to 2000. Good times.

What about anyone else? Have a favorite game you don't get to play anymore?

DC Heroes was excellent. I liked to run each session as a comic book, with title and one time when not enough folks showed up we did a Letters to the Editor page; it was great.

I also miss RuneQuest; just not enough folks into it lately. I'm pleased with 3.5 for my family but might run something for them in Glorantha during the summer.

I miss all games, but right now, I'd play 3.5E if I could, or Shadowrun... D&D and Shadowrun have been my two favorites.

However, there was one outstanding Call of Cthulu game I played once, and there have been a smattering of other games. But nothing beats the ole standbys: D&D and Shadowrun. Three years of no gaming... the end is in sight...

Shadowrun - rolling handfulls of dice, what's not to love?

Timemaster - OK the mechanics were clunky, but the expansion book covered how to deal with 12 copies of yourself and what to do if you suddenly cease to exist and that's just cool.

Hero - I can't believe people think spending an hour performing algebra to generate a character is not fun.

I really miss playing Villains and Vigilantes. It was my first super-hero game and I'll always have fond memories. Eventually, the Marvel game took over my time and that was great too. I always wanted to start a band and name it FASERIP.

DC Heroes was a great system. I'd chime in on that, but I think I was always the guy running the game. Damn players...

I miss playing Earthdawn. Loved the character progression and the way it handled magic items. And oh yeah, someone else ran the game.

Marvel Super Heroes, Twilight 2000, Mage, Ars Magica and Shadowrun are all games I miss, but the game I miss most of all is 7th Sea. Yeah, it was a RPG based on a CCG, but my players and I never had more fun swashbuckling before or since.

I got to play Call of Cthulhu for about a year, up until about a year and a half ago. English Keeper (GM), game set in 1920's England. Was a lot of fun.

Recently asked some people I know if they'd be interested in playing CoC or something else other than D&D (on different nights from our D&D games). Other suggestions were Buffy, Babylon 5, Paranoia or some kind of Superhero game, none of which I've ever gotten to play. Unfortunately, I only got One freaking response!

Oh well, maybe someday. :( :( :(
