I think playing an AE game with Monty would lure a bit of cash out of my wallet too.

I was lucky enough to get into one of the "Play with the Creator" slots at Origins where Monte was DM'ing. It was great time and well worth it!

Rel and Piratecat. I've had the privledge to play in a few of PCs one shot games, but it'd be awsome to get the weekly. And Rel was the talk of Gen Con so getting in some of his games sounds like its worth the money.

I've played with Rel quite a few times; he lives up to the hype. :)

I've gamed with PC once, and would love to do more, but Boston's a hellaciously long way away... :(

I wouldn't PAY, mind you, in the "Bugaboo School of DM'ing" sense, ;) but I've paid to game with them, in terms of travel expenses. and there are a lot of people on these forums I'd love to game with in addition.

That reminds me, I need to get involved in the PBP forums more.

I'll pay to help support a game. If the space costs extra money, or there's large amounts of printing or technical support that needs to be payed for, or there's other odd costs that need to be defrayed, I'll chip in - that's pretty much like paying for a convention. I pay a nominal fee for larps all the time.

What I won't do is pay to line a GM's pockets. I am a hobbyist. I'm interested in playing the game with other hobbyists. I'm not particularly interested in playing with a GM whose mind is partly on the profit, and not so much on the game.

I'd pay to be in a _campaign_ run by Monte - even above and beyond his running, his campaign thoughts seem fantastic.

I can't think of anyone.

By the time I got to see Rogue's Gallery and other books, many of the characters came off as lame in concept and execution for example.

The game system now allows for a near infinite variety of character types and concepts without the hand waving that those Rogue's Gallery characters required. A lizard man PC? Unheard of! We'll, we've just do a little hand waving here and volia!

Rob Boyle running a Shadowrun game

Are you serious?
Maybe Shadowrun with Mike Stackpole, or Nigel Findlay, or even Mike Mulvihil (especially if he's running Bug City), but Rob Boyle?!?!? I'll pass. YMMV.

I must be a cheapskate, because I honestly can't think of anyone I'd seriously be willing to pay to game with.

in no order: monte, destan, egg, mona, piratecat, durbin, and arthur deacon (a fictitious character from the 1980's The Sleeping Dragon book). i love reading about sepulchrave's sessions, but i dont think id enjoy waxing philosophical during a tabletop session.
