What happened?

(OOC: We shouldn't be using the screwy so-called 'errata' in Complete Psionic, so Crystal Shard will not be subject to DR. Less damage than Energy Ray, but no Energy Resistance either )

OOC: It's Piercing damage isn't it? that's weapon damage subject to DR I'd think. You're the Psionics expert though. Besides, my only character to have that ability unfortunately mistyped it as Crystal Shart so I might not be talking about the same spell.

(OOC: Though the damage is piercing, DR technically does not apply against Spells or Powers until the errata was added. I initially thought DR would apply to it too, but I was wrong.)

(OOC: I'm guessing it won't matter either way who rolls it--what I usually do, to speed things up, is that if all that is needed is a roll, and no description (like now it seems), and the player doesn't give the rolls first, I just roll it myself)

As you approach, Latharion points out a the pit trap right in front of the Cave entrance.
Raven looks around also but doesnt seem to find anything at all but once Latharion point it out it becomes obvious where the pit trap is.It is quite large it appears to be a 20 ft wide trap, the entire breadth of the mound entrance.
What next?

Is there an open door behind the door? A closed door? An open passage? Is the passage 10 feet wide? So it's five feet wider than the opening at each side?

If there are no other dangers evident, Raven will advocate returning to the others, so they can make some sort of bridge out of a fallen tree perhaps.

It is an open passage leading into a 10 foot passage. There appear to be no other dangers present so I will assume you and Latharion go back to the group.

"You're right, it might be best to get the rest, put a log over the trap, we'll be able to explore further after that" Latharion whispers.

He'll retreat to the group, get a fallen log between them, shove it over the pit-trap, then further explore.
