I want to talk and think about the D&D5E Rules with you guys. What wild ideas and interesting ways can we bend, break and destroy the game rules that might be fun and how would that effect the game?
Ideas I am kicking around.
Let PC's stats go up to 30. Instead of hard capping them at 20th what if we let them keep on going?
What if we removed the level restriction on spells? We could use the optional spell point system and just let spells ride without level limits but with caster level still a factor. A 1st level fireball would be -2 Damage dice I guess? What would that do to the game? Maybe remove the auto getting spells thing and they only get what they can find in game.
What if you removed concentration from the game or maybe just added more concentrations at higher level? Like at 6th level you can have two going at once and at 12th three?
What if you added feats to monsters? Something like pc's and added a feat every 4 hit dice or something.
What if you used Gastalt rules instead of the multiclassing rules.
