What is Amazon’s beef with DCC?

Amazon’s own website admits that Goodman recommends DCC for 14 years and up, but restricts it to 16 years and up? What is going on?

I'm not seeing that warning (not even when I view from outside my account), and don't recall that I've ever seen it. Could it be a geographical thing? Or tied to having a credit card on file, or something?

I am logged in to Amazon and currently in the US (in Texas.)
I get it in Firefox privacy mode, but I now notice I need to choose paperback as the option. So more likely a very strange glitch.

I do not see it myself. Could be that they feel they know better like when Facebook or Instasnap or whatever says you should be 13, but mom says you need to be 16. Or when people want to make voting age 16, but you cannot drink a beer until 21 saying that the brain is not developed yet.

50 years old is a few years over 16 But, I think DCC is a good product and fun for 13 year olds and above (who should not be barred from playing it.)

Man, this can be misinterpreted so many ways....

Especially when made by a masked guy.
