I had two dollars in credit earlier this month, so picked up the Glory Road Roleplay encounters book (the bestiary). The formatting, like that in all of the Glory Road Roleplay books is... uh... something. BUT the system itself is actually pretty neat if you like earlier generations of crunchy fantasy RPGs with a DIY aesthetic.

The second edition is out.

A bit of a random grabbag of recent purchases: Grabbed Ginny Di's Deck of Boons and Banes during Prime Days, HeroQuest First Light with the 25% one Toy or Game coupon at Target and Crypt of Perpetual Darkness, and the Alien: Second Edition Starter Set Kickstarter just showed up. I'm eying the Vaesen Starter and Mythic Carpathia, but want to buy them in a brick-and-mortar store for personal reasons.
