The new Pendragon book is waiting for me when I get home tonight.

Aaaand Origins got me. I stopped by the Free League booth to get a Dragonbane GM screen and walked with that plus the DB Bestiary and Vaesen because if you spent $100+ you got 20% off.

And since we were playing Shadowrun next I bought a cube of d6s...

New Pendragon book arrived today, along with the Grey Knight campaign book. Initial impression is good, hope to work it into the rotation this summer.

Not really a TTRPG purchase, but Origins got me again. I had a really enjoyable Battletech experience at the Catalyst boothm (despite getting destroyed by my "friends") and bought the core game box. I blame @payn

Finally nabbed Squeaks in the Deep... it having been on sale.
Pugmire as a setting has racism/speciesism as a theme. Squeeaks doubles down on it.
The introduction gives the following themes:

Theme: Culture Conflict
Mood: Spooky Stories
Action: Light to Darkness

The detailed explanations I omitted.
Later on, the racism of the Dogs and Cats towards the Mice and Rates is explicitly called out, and mentioned that it can be either backgrounded or ignored.
I find this a brave choice... but many seem to find such decisions as offensive.

I'll note as well: I didn't realize before running it that the included adventure in Monarchies of Mau was a fairly open statement about racism... and it's negative side. It seems to be that someone has found their soapbox... and decided to use it. Since I'm fine with Morality Plays... yeah, I don't mind a bit, but it would be nice to be warned.

I purchased Death in Space today from...well, there are so many companies listed on the back of the book I don't know which one actually produced it. I haven't read a lot of it yet, but it really reminds me of Mork Borg, which makes sense because Free League is one of hthe names on the back of the book. It's a simple game where you play roughnecks, blue collar type workers, who happen to ply their trade in inky blackness of space. It's a bleak setting where the universe has stopped expanding and is now contracting and strange things go bump out there.

I also won a copy of The Witcher by Modiphius Games for Free RPG Day. It's still in its shrink wrap, but I have absolutely zero interest in it. Maybe one of these days I'll crack it open.

Death in Space only set me back $40. I've read about 2/3rd of it and I'd say it was worth the price of admission. I expect I'll mostly use it for one shots and very, very short campaigns.
