I'm not 100% sure, but I think he means the magic in the game doesn't seem like magic should. It can be taken for granted, and it's lost its wondrous and awe-inspiring qualities.

Well, for one thing, magic is not literally gone from the game. There is a magic system, magic items, magic spells. Figuratively speaking, one of the goals of the designers was to make magic feel special again - magic items especially. So it's hard for me to understand where miniaturehoarder is coming from.
