AFMBE is the definitive Zombie RPG.

D20 Modern and/or Grim Tales can certainly be the base for an excellent zombie game.

However, if you are looking for nothing more than an evening of zombie smashing, look no further than...

Zombies!!!

It's a boardgame not an RPG, but darn it's fun (and it comes with ONE HUNDRED plastic zombie figs)!

Even if you don't buy the game, make sure you pick up a Bag O' Zombies from them. 100 zombies for $9.99 ain't too shabby. :D

Zombies!!! is a wicked fun game when you just want to spend an evening blasting zombies with friends. It goes real well with your favourite beverage too. Oh, they also have a bag of 100 glow in the dark zombies for the same price as a regular 'Bag o' Zombies'.

I've alwasy wanted to try AFMBE but have never gotten around to it....

All Flesh Must Be Eaten, is written with the zombie genre in mind but in the time that we played it, I found the rules system a little clunky and difficult to get my head round.

Well, my group decided to use D20 modern, I found some rules for the "28 Days Later" style rage zombies on the internet, we might use them. I still think AFMBE sounds really cool, though. Next time I'm at the store I'll have to read it some more.

All Flesh Must be Eaten. All Flesh Must be Eaten. All Flesh Must be Eaten. All Flesh Must be Eaten.

All Flesh Must Be Eaten.

What's even better is thsat you can add Terra Primate to the mix and get zombie apes! Damn dirty undead apes! Or play apes fighting zombie humans.

EDEN has a western book which should fit in your time frame. They also have a book coming out called Dungeons and Zombies.
