The current group we still have 50% of the group together after 7 years.

My best was a group that we had about 75% of the players together for 8 years.

My current group has been gaming together for about 12 years. The group at one time swelled to 12 players but it was a bear to keep that working.

So 6 players 1 DM currently.

I have another group that I play with regularly that is 5 players 1 DM and we've been playing for about a year.

In high school / college we had a regular group of 8 that played together for 6 years. And that was 6 years of almost every weekend, Friday night, Saturday all day, and sometimes Sunday. Those were the good times, all time and no money.

Been playing with the same group since 1988. I started in 1977, but some in high school, but much more while in the Army. Then I got out and a year later found the group I currently play with. One was killed in car accident, another's wife has stopped him from playing, but the remaining three I still play with. The daughter of the member of our group who was killled grew up and is now a player, with 2 of her friends. So about 50% having only played with us for 5 years - with a new girl we picked up last month.

Our group is both old and new!

I started clicking on choices and realized that I have had groups in all categories over my nearly forty years of RPGing. Sometimes those groups overlapped, sometimes I was the DM/GM, sometimes not. As I thought about the various gaming groups I've spent time with over the years, I have to admit it is a lot more gaming than I would have probably answered if asked in person and just shot an answer from the hip. I'm amazed also that there are at least two groups with which I played that were longer than ten years and three or four of the main five were all there for that whole time. There are a few that lasted more than five years where two or three of five, six or seven were there more than a few years or even five. I tried not to use any given group as justification for clicking more than one choice and eventually noticed I had clicked on them all.

Well, I've had a bunch of friends that moved from the town I used to live in to the town I lived in at the time, and then had the same thing happen again. Starting when I was in high school, I'd say I have a list of "core players" that have come in and out over the years that includes 16 people at a rough count (John, Jon, Joe, Jeff, Vic, Wil, Craig, Matt, Paul, Celeste, Aaron, Rob, Matt, Brain, Dave, Bill), each of whom has over ten years of gaming with me under their belt and almost all of whom have gamed with me in at least two different towns or cities.

For my primary group: 27 years. Of the 7 people currently involved, 4 are original participants when the group formed and 2 others gamed with one of those 4, but not me for the first 6-10 years. We have one relative newbie who's been around for 5-6 years.

My first group was university, so with some changes, it lasted four years.

Then, here in Japan, I met one of the players 17 or so years ago, and we have played since then with the other main player joining about 13 years ago.

That has been my core group. We have had a fourth join and quit many times over the years, but the core has been solid.

I also have a yahoogroups groups that has been together 12 years or so.

I got one player whom I've been gaming since I moved to the SF Bay Area so that's going on 12 years, another couple of players I've been gaming since 2003 or 2004 so that's about 7 years. The others have been less than 5 years and I just recruited two brand new players.

My original group ran for 25 years, but only one player was active all of the time. A second one played for 20 years in this group.

My current group started in 2003, so we're eight years old, now. All of the original players remain active today.
