What is the minimum level would you play if you were never to gain xp again?

Please read my post first. What level would you play if you never gained xp again?

Assuming you don't know which character class you'll be playing before you choose, what is the minimum character level you'd want you and the rest of your party to be at for the rest of eternity?

Why do you ask?

No real reason. Just curious as to what character level (i.e. just-one-ankle-twist-away-from-death 1st level or I-kill-gods-for-breakfast 20th level) folks would prefer if they had to make a choice.

Level 6. Casters have third level spells (when spells start to be powerful ie fireball) and characters with full BAB get 2 attacks and skills if maxed out are all +10 or better generally so every one can be reasonably heroic and epic at level 6.

Eleven. High enough to be able to take on truly dangerous opponents, but not high enough that you can kill those opponents without strategy or planning. Heroic, but not superheroic.

I voted "are you crazy?!" but I think 12 is a nice milestone, for those content with such things.

(Loss of XP rules out too many things besides level for me to feel happy -- no magic item creation, no using wish or limited wish, or any of a number of Psionic powers which cost a few XP here & there.)

Hm. I'll play one-shots or short subjects without having some avenue for character change and growth. But an entire campaign? It'd have to be extremely interesting in other ways for me to commit time to it...
