What is the original source for this awesome Lockwood painting?

Five; the goblin and the kobold should count as 'little people'.

Bah! They are vermin! Each and every one of them!
On a serious note; no they shouldn't, since they can't possibly be a halfling or a gnome, which was what I was getting at.
Actually... I'm not sure what you're getting at.

I also like <snip> the halfling (or is it a gnome?) in the back draping his arm over a red dragon's snout.

Looking at this gnome/halfling, I was wondering: is this a mandolin attached to the waist, or is he just happy when looking at the tiefling monk? :p

The red dragon looks like a trophy attached to the wall. I'm not sure the full body would have room to stand in the tavern. :)

And the bard is a gnome. Gnomes are now bards. (Personally, I'd have kept Gnome as wizards, and made elves the bards, since the mix of art, magic, and swordplay of the bard class is a perfect fit for elven culture, but well.)

Anyone noticed the rather... harsh looks between the mind flayer and the drow?

See the dark elves muscled arms? And thent here's three guys - all known for their superior intellect - with dice on the table. It's obvious: the drow's a jock and the other three are nerds. And they don't go well together...

I have my doubts. Keepers are human-sized with pale skin and since they all look the same, I don't think they'd have tattoos. Their limbs transform into weapons, so I don't think it would use a gatling crossbow. Gnomes, however, are known for such gadgets.

Hmmm, the bald head, goggles, and Tony D. Planescape tattoo still make me think this is a Keeper (and Keepers had tattoos in the original PS Monstrous Compenium II), but you are right about the musculature and gadget.

Perhaps some unholy keeper/gnome crossbreed?

Actually, it looks a lot like the Gnome Artifacer in Magic of Faerun...or even the Gnome from the Chainmail set.

Hehe, it's been too long. :(
I made (a no doubt lame) conversion of the Keepers for my homebrew campaign, but by the time I started running it the Fiend Folio had come out. Still don't like that picture...
