Getting something like The King Engine would be nice...
I'm referring to presentation. If you were to describe an effect in the text of the feature, rather than, "as spell x", you have many fewer problems.Fighter self heals it's MAGICK oh noezzzzzz pardon 5e is not some pristine land of the people who trolled 4e won the entire game... sorry they didnt.
That presentation aside : the same mechanics "really are" I think at D&D's abstraction level often just as appropriate for martial effects once you get past the meta elements.I'm referring to presentation. HP is a representation of exhaustion and luck, you don't even show injuries until half HP (the amount that a champion can auto-heal to). Second Wind seems pretty mundane when represented like that to me.Fighter self heals it's MAGICK oh noezzzzzz pardon 5e is not some pristine land of the people who trolled 4e won the entire game... sorry they didnt.
This looks really cool but also looks like it is definitely a Barbarian ability that activates on-rage.Getting something like The King Engine would be nice...
It actually is kind of realistic second wind in real life causes a flood of not just painkillers but stuff which clears the lactic acid removing fatigue side effects and revs up the systems that heal that kind of damage.HP is a representation of exhaustion and luck, you don't even show injuries until half HP (the amount that a champion can auto-heal to). I've seen a book with a really interesting in world spin on it that kind draws on how a calorie is the amount of energy needed to raise 1 gram of water 1 degree C & it was pretty interesting . Yea it used a different term but the concept & usage in the story were exactly the same. "“Degree of power” is the official standard that Magi use to measure the extent of their might. A single unit, as a standard, is equivalent to the energy that can be completely released by 1 gram of magic crystal.""HP is a representation of exhaustion and luck, you don't even show injuries until half HP (the amount that a champion can auto-heal to).
