Well, I suppose I've decided that I railroad a bit, but its usually the "good" kind of railroading...
I create obstacles for my players, but I don't force them to go around them a certain way. They normally have the freedom to disregard them completely, and if they don't, its for a certain in-game reason, and I let them know that its going to be that way before the game starts. The fact that they still agree to play is proof of their acceptance of that, so I guess its ok!
