Blue or green

It was a toss-up between blue and green for me. I voted for blue: the tie-breaker was their horn. I would houserule that the blue dragon's breath weapon actually comes from the horn (no game effect other than flavor). Oh, and lightning runs down its back like godzilla.

I don't know - is dead a standard chromatic dragon?

I, mean, come on, how else am I going to get a real idea of how skilled my character is? Plus, of course, there's the villages saved, along with their livestock. I haven't had a chance to rescue a virgin yet - aside from that one pretty-boy, but he doesn't count for these purposes - but I'm still looking forward to it. And, of course, there's all that gold and treasure...

I like greens. They are mean. They can stand next to you behind the trees without you seeing them. As a bonus, they eat sprites. That's the one thing my players like about them :D.

'Cause nothin' beats the great taste of Sprites(TM)!

Another green fan, I even liked the 'tarnished bronze' in Draconomicon... But the dragons in my homebrew are either reddish brown or brown and green, amphibious, and have a mix of breath weapons. (Fire and gas together, with the latter a biproduct of the former.) The campaign opened with the first dragon spawning in a thousand years, the river running with 4 foot long wyrmlings. One PC caught a wyrmling with a fishing pole... he ended up letting it go. (Using a frog as bait.)

I voted in DM mode, and thus went with red. They're the biggest baddest, nastiest chromatic dragon out there, and so they're perfect for springing on the players.

Of course as a player, I don't want to encounter any dragons at all.... :p

Black and Blue are my fovored.Althought I would so much like to kill a red adult my party met but we currently are many miles away .
The good think with dragons is that they live for many years. He can wait till i ll visit him again to say hi and pay him back for the insults. :]

Like several here, I use dragons that are closer to standard dragons than D&D dragons. I use whatever stats fit my fancy; the latest was a half-red dragon giant crocodile. The generic dragons in AE are cool, too.

Blue. Todd Lockwood's design for the blue dragon caught my interest immediately (as can be seen by the Paladin vs. Dragon wallpaper at my website).

I'll pimp the Yellow Dragons until they're printed again!

(I'm speaking about the desert-dwelling Yellow Dragons, the one who breathed scorching air and sand. A Dragon Magazine had another Yellow Dragon, which was some sort of beachboy breathing salt, and I find that silly.)
