What is your favorite low level Druid Spell?

Wand of CLW is a great investment for a party. Suck it dry when you have some breathing room. The cleric can focus on the emergency stuff or prepare Heal. The druid can keep a high level cure for emergencies, but all in all, the rest up period shouldn't need to drain the group.

Generally if I play a Cleric, Bard, or Druid one of the first things that I DEMAND from the rest of the party is that they pick up equal parts of the cost for a Wand of Cure Light Wounds. That one investment is worth 50 other spells that I could have cast. It works out well for all involved since as long as there are charges left they never hear "I'm all out of healing spells for the day". It is a real lifesaver when time is an issue in the campaign.

Entangle....and (MotW) Briar Web, if you can get it. Even at high levels, Entangle is a mook-buster.

Obscuring Mist is also excellent. I call it my "BAMF!" spell (obscure comic book reference, see Appendix C-2). If your DM throws lots of archer-type bad guys at you, this spell can save your hide.

At 2nd level, the spell use is much more situational. You may never need Resist Energy, for instance....or you might need it "real bad".

The 2nd level druid spell that sees the most use in my game is Flaming Sphere. Summon Swarm back-fired on my PCs pretty badly.

Produce Flame is great.

The elementals you can get from Summon Nature's Ally are powerful for the spell's level.

Longstrider is a new favorite.

Call Lightning, an old favorite, is better than before.

Produce flame is awesome, as is flaming sphere. Summon Swarm is mostly good as an anti-caster spell, and should be used as such Charm Person or Animal is a fun one for surprising people :).

Heat metal is one of my favorites. Sure, it isn't as powerful as it was in 2e, but it's still very useful. Nothing like making an enemy drop his sword. It'll also heat buckles enough to burn holes in saddlebags, as we did to an enemy in a recent encounter.... it's a fun spell to get creative with.

No one has said shillelagh... possibly because like me they can't spell it... ;) but I like to invest a couple of twf feats in my druid and lay the smack down with a quarterstaff... admittedly once you can wildshape that tends to take over the physicl combat, but for some reason hitting people with an enchanted stick of wood always screamed druid to me.

flame blade was fun too.
