A basic meat broth (usually chicken), noodles, sprouts, cilantro, mint and lime are your main ingredients. Easy to digest, nutritional, tasty, and fragrant.
Cilantro is a heinous, nasty devil-weed. How this soap-flavored condiment became so popular is beyond me.

I'm feeling better, btw. Thanks for the tips!

If congestion is the problem, a trip to the local Thai restaurant and a plate of their hottest curry can help clear things up.

And it's hard to go wrong with NyQuil. If it doesn't help fight the cold, it will at least help you sleep through it.

Fluids (healthy) which for me is OJ and soup

Sleep- more specifially- I take a sleeping bag out and crawl into that UNDER the normal covers and sweat the poisons out of me. Keep water / OJ nearby.

One nights sleep this way I'm normally good to go the next day.

Flu shot is a good idea but late now. I get one every year and generally only catch one cold a year and normally a mild one.

Waht knocks me silly is stomach flus. Even as a kid these were deadly for me and ever since undergoing Chemo and radiation I REALLY suffer with them. Had a dozy of one earlier this week. 48 hours to recover enough just to go to work.

Go with the fluids and sleep. Soup is good too but sleep is better. Use Tylenol if you're in a lot of pain (i.e. headache).
