What level are Batman & Superman?

Well, just curious.

Someone on these boards once said that Superman's LA would be equal to Batman's CR.

Well, what CR/level would Superman or Batman be?

I guess Batman is a rogue with UMD. And a huge amount of money to buy resources.

Supydupy is paladin with some nice racial DR 1000/kryptonite, Fast Healing 200 and the well known other abilities... I'd put him at LA +30 or so.

Levels, in the D&D sense, do not apply. They are out of a completely different genre, that runs by different rules.

Take a look at the best supers game to use something like the d20 rules - Mutants and Masterminds: No character levels to be seen.

Superman's level adjustment is literally incalculable; it keeps changing. I even read one comic (the one right before Superman lets Lois know his secret, or so it looked like) that in the last week, Superman learned more than five new superpowers. Sheesh!

Batman would be extremely high level. Not only is he an amazingly fast-witted athlete (it doesn't matter how athletic you are if you can't calculate your approximate path very quickly while swinging on a batline) but he's also a skilled martial artist, so swift even Red Hood commented on it, is able to fight after having his ribs broken, one of the world's top geniuses (when fighting the Riddler, they trade riddles for fun, and they're not easy riddles either), one of the world's best detectives, an amazing liar, has the ability to charm random NPC women almost as well as James Bond ... sheesh! You could stat him up with DnD or d20 Modern, but he'd be epic level.

Making matters worse, they've both been superheroes a long time (real world time), meaning you would need to crawl through thousands of back issues in order to find out that, yes, Batman does speak Ancient Algonquian fluently (or some other obscure fact).

PS I don't know if Batman can speak Algonquian. It's just an example.

Not really; you'd just need to go back to one of the 'reset' points; either Crisis on Infinite Earths, Zero Hour or last years Infinite Crisis. WHat they can do and what they know get revamped at those times. In other words, the Superman in a 1965 comic literally is not the same character as the one we have now.

Batman, Gnome, Barbarian 5?
Superman, Half-celestial template, Human, Cleric 7 (obviously has the travel domain)?

Oh wait. Superman died once. Level 6.
