What level is your party at right now?

Average party level 11 or 12. We started off at 3 (1 plus 2 template). This is the longest game I've ever been in (about 8 months). I really like starting off at 1; it helps (for me anyway) the character develop. I'll just have to find me a nice stable campaign to get up to anything over 15 or so. Should be a little easier since I'm gonna get the hell outta Dodge come August. (That is, I'm graduating.)

Well the game I DM the group is at 6th level. They started in The Burning Plaque and are currently in RttToEE but I think we are going to stop there for a while and start Rappan Athuk. But that campaign is currently on hold.

The game I play in is a homebrew in the Realms that we started as first and we all are in the 5-7 range now.

The PCs are on the border of 10th level -- one over, two not. The end of this story arc should see them to at least 12th level.

In the group where I DM, we started in February 2001. There were two restarts (one due to a TPK, one to a vote of the players), so they're only 4th level. Highest level was before the TPK, with a couple PCs at 10th level.

With the vote to restart, it was mostly due a dissatisfaction with the disparity in levels due to character deaths (the highest leveled PC bringing it up, no less!) So, we changed the rules on bringing in new characters, and they all started agian at first level. Interestingly, so far there has been no need for new characters...

In the group where I'm a player, there have been so many restarted campaigns recently, that it isn't funny (or much fun...) Seems we've been suspended from RPGs the past few weeks, playing only board games when we meet. Fortunately, one player has offered to start a supers game. Hope it goes well.

I'm not exactly sure why my results would be different, but it seemed that the vast majority of responders in my poll were in the first two catagories (Low-Low & Low-Medium). In your current poll there seem to be a lot more High level characters for some reason.

Three games on the go!

The longest running is an FR/Greyhawk game with my girlfriend that started over 10 years ago -- the characters are 14th-16th level.

I am also running a monthly game that started with Death in Freeport then moved to the mainland of Greyhawk -- characters are 9th-10th level.

And finally, I'm running my Monday group through Bastion of Broken Souls with characters created at 17th level. They're now 19th.

One game, I'm an elven cleric of Sehanine Moonbow in Greyhawk.
The other, tribal shaman (Bbn1/Sorc4) in Corlon's homebrew.
And the game a I GM, I guess 6 exp in Feng Shui equates to level 15 or so.

My oldest group (now about 5 (?) years without PC change), the SADES, are - still - at level 15 and still fighting in the CRM of RttToEE...*sigh*

The second group, Rose and Sword, is at level 16 and has entered the CotSQ recently, slaughtering drow, duergar and demons without mercy

The third group is a testing group for a homebrewed D&D system (works fine) and has reached level 11, after killing the high priests of the ToEE and entering the node of fire.

levels 11 - 13 in the Queen of the Demonweb supermodule (converted). Party is currently preparing to battle the upper level contingent of Fire Giants in King Snurre's Hall (after having slain the King & Queen in a hit-and-run raid)

Their characters are around 7th though.
