What miniature is this?

DeadHorse

Not sure if this is the right place for this, but does anyone have any info on this lead miniature I picked up? It seems to be lead. The bottom says SAXON but it looks like it's been scratched into the base. It also has copyright 1982 on the bottom. I really like the paint job on it and plan on using it someday. Any info would be great. Thanks in advance.

My first thought was that it might have been an old Citadel monster, since they had things like Man-Fish and Goat-Ogre in their collection. And many of the bases for the bigger monsters had a similar shape.

But if it was from a company called Saxon like Danny suspected finding it might be really hard. You'll get tons of results for Anglo-Saxon miniatures.

Lost Minis Wiki might have it somewhere within:

Edit:

I just noticed that Lost Minis lists a company called Saxon Manufacturing. Look at their Fantasy Range. There's a mini called 'Space Dragon'. Looks similar.

Thanks. Much appreciated. All I could find were the Anglo-Saxon minis lol.
Heh. Yeah, that's always the problem with looking for something with a common name. I remember one time I was tracking down this movie for my dad, and the name of the movie was Love. There's like fifty movies with that name.

:D
