Your snarky comment aside, I was referring to your particular design sensibilities simply not gelling with my preferences.

I know, man, I'm cool with it. :) If I could make every fan happy, I would do so, I promise. :)

I know it sucks to be waiting for books and then not have them be what you want, I've suffered through it just as much as anyone. I'm not deriding your taste in books, I just have my own taste, and I also have an obligation to write what my employer asks me to write. ;)

I think it would have been far more interesting if half of us would have rebelled and written the book that we thought the fans would prefer. Assuming it would have been published at all, it would have.... lacked cohesion, in very unique and interesting ways.

What makes you think half of us wanted to write your silly tome of lore? :p

I didn't say that it had to be a tome of lore. The half who didn't follow the outline could have had very different ideas of what the fans wanted.

It's a schizm! Realms designer Civil War!

Forget this, I'm holing up in Lantan with a few of the Seven Sisters and a decanter of endless firewine...call me when this thing blows over.

I'm probably in the minority here, but what bugs me about the Forgotten Realms is that it was split by the 3.0>3.5 conversion. The campaign book and a few supplements are 3.0 and the newer ones are 3.5.

I know it probably won't happen, but what I'd really like to see if a fresh and new (3.5) update to the entire Forgotten Realm Campaign book, with enough new material added to make it worth the purchase. Later updates including Maztica and maybe Kara Tur could capitalize on the new version.

That's exactly what Player's Guide to Faerun is - an update to the rules content published prior to 3.5. The FR lore itself didn't undergo a transformation.

What would you like to see next? Mazteca, Al Qadim, Dalelands, Western Heartlands, Lands of Intrigue, Old Empires, Vilhoun Reach, warrior playing, cleric playing, rogue playing, etc?

Dragons! I want to know all about the Dragons of Faerun. And if someone could slip in some Old Empires lore in the process, that would be way cool. ;-)
