What parts of world-building do you hate most?

Whyever for? Having a world with no God/desses gives you a lot of freedom to examine other major story subjects without worrying about Good and Evil.

Optionally, if you're regretting the lack of religion in your campaign, why not pull a Ultima IV-esque "Quest of the Avatar" to birth the first God of Light (or whatever)?

There used to be gods in the world, a long time ago. But there was the cliche cataclysm millenia ago which still affects the world today, and one of those effects is that the world is sealed off from divine intervention. Some still worship gods, but they don't get any benefit from it. Paladins get their powers from their own self-righteousness, and clerics forge a personal relationship with a particular outsider. There's actually a paladin in the game right now who worships Pelor.

Well, good news is, it's your campaign, and if you want the Gods to come back, they can. ;)

Pantheons, easily. I kind of iss the days where Clerics were differentiated by their garb and mannerisms, than by their spell lists. The whole 'different domains/spells for different gods' thing makes for a lot of work that, frankly, I don't have much time for these days.

I, too, have problems with coming up with random names, though random name generators have helped me with this issue.

And since a lot of people here professed problems with creating maps, I'd like to point out my Map Cartography thread in one of the subforums here...
