What product are you looking forward to most this year????

Thanks for pointing that out

Yes, the Dragonlance Campaign Setting, thank for pointing that one out. Forgot about that one.

DCS would have to go above the revised rule books.

Thanks for the move to the right board, I was inspired for the topic when reading the d20 publishers board.

In no particular order:

  • Arcana Unearthed
  • The Diamond Throne
  • Revised core books
  • stuff from Natural 20
  • (hope) ELH and D&Dg making it into the SRD

Obviously I have a lot in the S&SS field I like to see, Arcana Unearthed being one of them (I may not buy it but I'll certainly look through it.) Mainly it's going to be d20 stuff that will hold my interest. Though Savage Species might come into my hands, more likely is Arms and Equipment guide.

As for the revised books, I might hold off, might not. Have to see.

Great Expections

Arms & Equipment Handbook: I *loved* the 2nd ed. version but it was stolen by some basturd who I never could find... this one I would hope would be a bit more crunchy and with pictures of EVERY weapon, but otherwise the same.
PHB 3.1: It's 3.1, not 3.5. 3.5 indicates fairly significant changes whereas 3.1 is an update, clarification, clean-up.
DMG 3.1: Ditto.
MM 3.1: Ditto.
Dragon: Five years ago I lost interest in Dragon. 3rd ed. came along and I picked up a few copies here and there but the price was too steep to warrant getting it regularly. However lately, every issue I've flipped through I've wanted... now if only the price would come down :D
Dungeon/Polyhedron: Dungeon was never my thing as I always ran games on the fly. I collected about a dozen of them mainly for the maps and traps. However, the quality is SO much better these days and a couple of the Poly mini-ads (especially the WWII one!) I'd love to pick up. There are other reasons as well, but let's not get into them... yet :D
Player's Guide to the World of Greyhawk: A 440 page, glossy, full-colour hardback with lots of art and maps and prestige classes and feats and a rogues gallery of all the cool NPC's and mini-adventures and a compilation of ALL material ever produced, even the conflicting stuff (just means people can choose) produced by the Canonfire crew :D Sigh, if only it were true...

Other than Arcana Unearthed there are no D20 products on the Horizon that I'm interested in.
HeroQuest (not the board game) is due out in the spring. This I am very excited about. Even more than Arcana Unearthed.

Well maybe the first player's guide to Wizards, Bards and Sorcerers might do something for you Four. Believe me I'm excited. :)

Overall: Arcana Unearthed. I've liked most of Malhavoc's stuff to date, and the ideas behind this one are intriguing.

Very close behind that are the Arms & Equipment Guide, revised core books, Dragonlance Campaign Setting (especially if it includes Taladas :D) and Races of Faerun.

I think all of these have the potential to be very cool, and I'm pretty stoked about the next few months. :)

Hmmm... probably City of Brass from Necromancer Games. Honorable mention goes to anything from Necromancer Games (a good lineup this year!) and anything for Rokugan d20. (All that and I DM a long-running FR campaign...)
