What Products have you boughtt solely on the recomendations of these boards?

Way back in the day when this was still Eric Noah's Unofficial Cheese someone recommended George Argh Argh Martin's Song of Fire and Ice as an outstanding series. I picked up the first book and WHAM! I was hooked. Now I've read them all and the new one isn't out!

Thanks a lot you bastards! How am I suppose to go on? ;)

Interludes: Brief Expeditions to Bluffside; I purchased the pdf and scored the hard copy as swag but i wouldn't have bought the pdf w/o these boards or the reviews here.

The incredible response to Spycraft also pushed me over the edge into getting it early.

I will say that everything I've purchased that's gotten good general response here has been worth my money.

As I mentioned on another thread, I've bought several things because of the positive comments I read about them on these boards: Bluffside, Geanavue, Quintessential Rogue, Seven Strongholds, The Gryphon's Legacy (haven't received the last one yet, but it's on its way). So far, I'm happy with everything I've bought.

I've also checked out some other products that I might not have looked at otherwise and may buy them in the future: Dragonstar, Fading Suns d20, Spycraft. I've already decided I'm going to get Dragonstar, just can't afford it right now.

Spycraft, and it looks VERY VERY good. I like the car chase rules, although I tend to agree the department thing is slighly underdone. Nice idea, but. Everything else is GREAT though. Love the silvery/chrome effect on the boarders too

I also picked up the Geroge R. R. Martin books.

It is a sick trick you played on me... I finished them... read them again... and STILL have to wait...

Oh well maybe I can help sucker someone else into the "trap"

Hey Black-Omega. I like your judgment, you should make reviews here (or if you do somewhere else tell me please), i'd be very interested to see them. I saw the way you dealt with the Hero thread and this comment on spycraft and like it a lot.

Based *solely* on board recommendations? No. But they are taken into consideration, sure.

But it still comes down to the flip through, hands-on inspection in the store and my first impressions: production, content and price.

For me it was Seas of Blood as well. After reading the comparitive review done (I forget by who) I decided it would better suit my needs. The fact that is was also 10$ cheaper helped:D

Woo, someone found it useful!

Are you referring to the tacos Ashtal?:D
Cause, I was going to have pizza, but based solely on that comment I may have to get tacos.....oh how my life is troubled.

KIDDING
I have looked and and bought some items because of threads on here as well, but I usually flip through them first.
