What RPG books do you have multiple copies of?

If your counting the 2e, 3e and 3.5e versions of the PHB I have sitting here next to me, then I have multiple copies of the PHB...if I found books for really cheap somewhere I'd be tempted to buy them, though

most of them...

i buy copies to collect, to store, to use, to cut & paste

i have multiples of multiples for some of the editions. :D

Being the resident OD&D guy, do you find yourself buying copies of the old esitions if you can find them?

OAD&D PHB. I have 3 copies. My original plus two more that a friend gave me when he was purging unused stuff one time.

GURPS Basic Set, 3/e. I have the paperback I bought c. 1991. Since it is pretty worn, I put the hardback on my Amazon wish list a year or two ago & ended up getting it for Xmas.

D&D Basic Rulebook. I have my original purchased c. 1981 and a second one I found at a secondhand bookstore recently.

The D&D Basic Rulebooks are identical (except that I followed the advice within & cut up my original Basic & Expert books and combined them in a 3-ring binder).

The PHBs are from two different printings and are very slightly different. (I think my original had the penalties for missile ranges wrong.)

The two GURPS Basic Sets are more different. Artwork has been changed, an sample adventure dropped, and an appendix with some new rules added.

I won't buy a book twice unless my original copy falls apart.

That said, I've got two copies of each and every PDF I own - one on my hard drive, and one as a backup. But I didn't purchase them twice ;)

I have a few pdfs that I repurchased after a drive crash.
If you've bought those PDFs at RPG Now you could've requested them to send you one additional download link (at no additional cost). (Or don't they do that anymore?)

I found a copy of the 3.5 DMG in a used book store and it got me thinking, anyone else pick up multiple copies of RPG books? I usually don't unless I can it cheap like I did today.

None on purpose except GURPS Lite

I keep a copy of GURPS Lite around to give away (its a freebie item) to potential GURPS converts

I have a couple of duplicate magazines and stuff like that but those items were gifts -

Ars Magica, 4th ed.

I have the hardbound ... and the .pdf :D

The reason for this is that this way I can openly promulgate the AM system; since it is a free download, I don't mind handing along copies of the .pdf to friends who I am trying to tempt in ;)

Other than that, none. Can't imagine a situation in which I would by copies, unless it was by accident.

We tend to buy two copies of each Player hand books for the games we play. We also have a habit of buy two copies of any book that gets used alot. Of course when you have 2 to 3 gamers in the same household there is a greater need for multiple copies.

G'day

I have two complete sets of The Fantasy Trip. (I had three when I was playing it, but sold one.)

I had at one stage a hard-bound and a paperback copy of ForeSight, HindSight, and ForeScene. After my hardcovers were stolen I got replacement back-up copies of ForeSight and HindSight at considerable expense. I would buy more if I found them. They are out of print, and I use them all the time.

Agback

Me too - in fact, I had 3 PHB's from 3.0, since many players didn't have them (or wouldn't lug them to the game).
Me, three. I bought a second-printing copy of the 3.0 PHB as soon as they were available. If they do a second printing of the 3.5 PHB (or, more likely, Mutants & Masterminds), I'll probably grab that, too.

I also might buy and extra just so I can modifiy one the way Painfully did.

Other than that, I don't think I've ever purposefully owned more than one copy of any RPG book. I tend to keep my books in really good shape, so there's usually never a necessity. Granted, if I ever happened upon some mint copies of the AD&D1e books for a good price, I might grab them.
