What should i GATE in?

I like Elemental Monoliths (from Complete Arcane).

They don't have a lot of spell-like abilities and fancy tricks, but for sheer raw hitting power they can wrestle a dragon down and beat it to death with its own tail.

Don't have my books with me...but something that has Gate as an ability, and ask it to bring in reinforcements to assist it in fighting your enemy...that way you can get a Gate Cascade, as it Gates in it's allies (preferably who have Gate, or at least summon [Since gate is a calling effect and thus doesn't prevent use of other calling or summoning effects like a summoning effect does]), to trounce your enemies whilst you sit back and have a Pina Colada...

thats an amazing idea...a Gate chain..holy moly would that reck havoc! But just in case that doesn't work with my DM..... :) A titan and what else? :)

Thanks,

Alex

Note: Allowed to use: MM (all of them), Libris Mortis, frostburn, all of them except BOED and BoVD.

It's complete cheese...but the Concordant Killer from MM IV.

Also on the cheese list, the OmniMental from MM III.

Don't use Gate for an Elemental Monolith => Use the dedicated spell (Summon Elemental Monolith) and get a copy of Sonorous Hum. No XP cost, and no concentration!

Where are the stats for the Astral Dreadnought? IIRC, that could be a handy gate subject. It's physically powerful and packs an AMF cone. And wasn't it pretty stupid and lacking other abilities too, so it's not like it'd track you down once the gate ends for some payback or have friends look after it.
