What the hell happened? RHoD (spoilers)

I believe we have a winner in the unofficial "who modified this module most" sweepstakes. What should we give Jontherev as a prize?

I'll bear the grafts in mind when I'm prepping that post-module adventure. He's already done something like that with the tentacles on the bonedrinkers.

It's ghasts that can still paralyze elves.

I don't see this under elf traits or in the ghoul entry...where are you seeing this? Help me out here...

Nevermind, I must have overlooked this...about 20 times.

I haven't even really started yet. I have to beef up just about everything in the module because of my large party (7) and my bright idea of giving each member a powerful intelligent item that each gains powers with each level. :\ I am hoping some of the encounters will work without much tweaking. And so is my wife! :)

We're starting off with the Slaughtergarde module and we're about halfway through that. I had to think of something to tie the two together (especially since we're in Faerun and I used both of the modules' suggestions for placement in Faerun...from the Nether Mountains for Slaughtergarde, to the Shaar for RHoD), so the Lich seemed to be the logical choice.

This is my 1st time DMing and I'm having a blast so far, but I didn't think it would take up so much of my free time. I have a new appreciation for DMs.

Follow-up from OP

So we played last night. The party decided to explore the rest of the lair. There seemed to be no good reason to throw random encounters at them, so they took their time. They eventually defeated the bonedrinkers (though they certainly did damage to the party, nearly killing two of them) and took the time to destroy the Lion's Heart. They used magic weapons and mighty sword arms - I ruled that it took 2 hours and that the two attacking it were both exhausted afterwards. They left the lair and camped some distance away, and my dice mercifully did not roll an attack on them during their sleep.

But about the Ghostlord: after much talk, they decided to leave well enough alone and get the hell out of the Thornwaste and head back to Brindol (good thing too - they will make it to the city with about only a day to spare). The phylactery is still in one piece, and they really don't know how to destroy it. As they travel back to Brindol (on foot, no less!), at the end of the day, if the evoker has spells to spare, he's going to launch them at the phylactery. Maybe it will be destroyed, maybe not. But in any case, it looks like, sometime, down the road, they will have to face the GL again. And he'll be much better prepared next time!

Actually, this became an issue in our RHoD game. We killed the Ghost Lord, only to discover that the phylactery had been stolen from where we had hidden it. So we had to determine . . . where does the lich reappear? The GM decided he'd show up near his phylactery, which meant he was with the army (just minus all his magic items).
