well though i do enjoy creating elemental priests from an RP pov if someone were to say "hey im running a campaing and i want you to be a cleric, pick any two domains" I'd have to say War and Magic. War because with the free feats (take MWP [Great Sword]) you are easily as powerful as a paladin, and Magic because its the most powerful domain out there (yes, my priest will take out his wand of fireball).

I voted Destruction and Travel. Luck pulls in a close third favorite.

I actually enjoys having some fun with Fire sometimes just to have a cleric tossing out burning hands.

Elf and War. This past New Years weekend I was given a DMs furlow and played a gestalt character. I wanted to be the pinacle of Elf-Y-ness.

Cleric/Ranger Gestalt point blank shot and weapon focus longsword for free, 2 weapon combat focus from Ranger, and Rapid shot as first level feat. I felt very Legolas like ala the movies, especially using buff spells.

Luck, for the ass-saving granted power, and Magic, for the good spells and possibility of using arcane scrolls and wands.

I don't get the overwhelming support for Healing. The granted power is so-so, giving a +1 point of healing in most cases, and the spell list is useless until mid-high levels. What am I missing?

i've seen a number of clerics take War and Sun

also in campaigns where the DM doesn't care about adding broken mechanics..

celerity and renewal are high on the list.
